Reagents for plugging solutions

Filtration reducer FLOSS 110

FLOSS 110 is a filtration reducer for cellulose ether based grouts. The product is subdivided into different modifications (LV – low viscosity, HV – high viscosity). Depending on the product modification and therefore the final viscosity of the mortar, FLOSS 110 acts as a water-releasing, thickening and anti-sedimentation agent.

Usage: FLOSS 110 is suitable for use in fresh and saline systems, in dosages from 0.10 to 1.00% by weight of cement, in the temperature range from 20 to 1100C; it has additional effect of increasing the setting time of cement slurry, which can be positively realized at temperatures above 60°C.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

DPC dispersant

DPC dispersant is a high performance synthetic plasticizer and dispersant for cement slurries, compatible with all classes of grouting cements.

Usage: DPC is added to cement or mixing fluid in dosages ranging from 0.05% to 0.70% by weight of cement. Optimal dosage is selected in laboratory conditions depending on rheology required. DPC dispersant can be used in a wide temperature range from 20 to 200°C, synergistic with most filtration reducers. At concentrations above 0.10% by weight of cement, DPC exhibits the additional property of delayed setting time.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

RetarderLR – setting time retarder

RETARDER LR is a modified sodium-calcium lignosulphonate, workable in the temperature range from 20 to 90°C. RETARDER LR additionally improves the rheological properties of the plugging system so that the dispersant dosage can be reduced.

Usage: The concentration ranges from 0.10 to 0.80% by mass of cement, depending on the required plugging time and is selected in the laboratory for each cement mix system, depending on temperature, cement grade and additional additives introduced. RETARDER LR is water soluble and also ideal for the preparation of plugging compounds by dry-mixing.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

NOFOAM defoamer

No FOAM is a high quality anti-foam agent designed to prevent foaming in cement and drilling fluids, fracturing fluids containing polymer additives, fresh or salt water. The No FOAM additive prevents formation and promotes rapid removal of already formed foam. Compatible with all types of cements, muds and additives. Works over a wide temperature range and can easily be used in winter as low as minus 45°C.

Usage: Application concentration of the reagent from 0,02%.

Packaging: Canisters of 30 litres.

Detergent concentrate buffer Nerspace 200

NERSPACE 200 Liquid Surfactant is a concentrated surfactant solution used to prepare a wash buffer composition to effectively break up and remove clay crust from rock and casing surfaces. NERSPACE 200 disperses effectively in water and does not produce excessive foaming.

Usage: The usual dosage of the product is 0.50 to 1.00% per 1,000 litres of process water.

Packaging: Canisters of 30 litres.

Drilling fluid chemicals

Xanthan gum XanFlo

XanFlo is a highly water soluble, high molecular weight xanthan biopolymer. “XanFlo” is designed for use as a texture builder for aqueous-based drilling fluids of various salinities. It regulates rheological properties of drilling fluids and provides exceptional carrying and retention capabilities. Additive “XanFlo” gives unique pseudoplastic properties to drilling agents – the ability to liquefy at high shear rates and form gel at low flow rates. “XanFlo is biodegradable and causes minimal reservoir deterioration. It is recommended for directional and horizontal drilling as well as primary penetration.

Usage: The reagent is added at concentrations of 0.5-5.0 kg/m3 as needed to obtain the required viscosity and parameters for maintaining the suspended state of the other additives.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

FloStarch – modified starch

FloStarch is a modified swelling starch. FloStarch is used to stabilise and reduce the permeability of drilling fluids of various salinities, from fresh to highly mineralised. FloStarch has no effect on drilling fluid viscosity. FloStarch is used in drilling fluids for primary penetration of productive formations.

Usage: The average starch concentration is between 5.7 and 17.1 kg/m3. When used in semi-saturated mineralised drilling muds a bactericide must be added at a standard concentration to prevent fermentation.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

OilFlo lubricant additive

OilFlo is an oily brown fluid consisting of a mixture of surfactants and additives based on vegetable and mineral oils, designed for the treatment of drilling fluids in order to reduce the coefficient of friction during movement and torque during the rotation of drilling pipes.

Usage: The average grease concentration is between 3 and 25 kg/m3.

Packaging: Metal barrels of 200 litres each.

Inhibitory additive Amisil 2

Amisil is a multifunctional polymer-silicate reagent designed for use in drilling fluids during drilling in unstable rock intervals, including horizontal and directional drilling, in order to prevent hydration and softening of clay shale rock and enrichment of mud with drilled rock, increasing thermal stability. Does not contaminate productive formation. Recommended for use in clay-free and low-clay muds.

Usage: The average concentration of inhibitor is between 5 and 30 kg/m3.

Packaging: Multi-layer 25kg bags.

Ingidol DT anti-slip additive

Ingidol DT is a multi-component complex consisting of natural oils and polyethers. The main purpose of the complex additive Ingidol DT is to reduce the adhesive interaction of clayey rocks with BHA elements. “Ingidol DT, unlike most other additives, forms solubilizing microemulsion, which is characterized by high resistance under effect of increased temperature and shear gradient in the bottomhole area. The particles of this microemulsion are highly adhesive at the metal-clay interface, thus effectively shielding the BHA surface and preventing clayey cuttings from adhering.

Usage: Ingestion of Ingidol DT into the drilling fluid is carried out directly under the suction of the drilling pump. It is allowed to inject Ingidol DT into drill pipes during tool build-up.

Packaging: Canisters of 30 litres.

Gaspen Silicone defoamer

Gaspen-Silicone is a defoamer based on silicone oligomers with the addition of surfactants. Gaspen-Silicone is designed for use as a defoamer in all types of water-based drilling fluids, but the greatest defoaming effect is achieved in clay-free biopolymer drilling fluid inhibiting systems and drilling fluids with high salinity.

Usage: In most cases Gaspen-Silicone is dosed at a concentration of 0.005 to 0.2%.

Packaging: Canisters of 30 litres.

Multifunctional bactericide BIOCIDOL

Biocidol is a composition based on quaternary ammonium compounds. Biocidol is designed to prevent bacterial decomposition of organic drilling fluid components such as polysaccharides. Biocidol inhibits the activity of sulphate reducing bacteria which cause corrosion of equipment. Effective against blue-green algae and microscopic fungi.

Usage: Biocidol is dosed into the drilling fluid during preparation. The concentration during primary treatment is 0.3 kg/m3. In the process of drilling it is used for periodic treatment of the drilling fluid. Biocidol does not have a negative impact on the parameters of the drilling fluid.

Packaging: Canisters of 30 litres.

Potassium chloride

Potassium chloride KCl is a white powder with a density of 1.99 g/cm3; ultimate solubility in water at 20ºС is 34.3% (by mass). Potassium chloride is obtained as a result of processing of potassium ores by halurgical and flotation methods. During construction and repair of wells, potassium chloride is used as an inhibiting component of drilling mud and as a weighting agent.

Usage: Dosed into the drilling mud during preparation and during the drilling process.

Packaging: 800 kg per batch.
